That was Random…

I just wanted to share “again”  something that I noticed the other day talking my daughter, Michaela.

My husband was taking me to work last week and our babies (not so much babies) were in the car and my daughter said to my oldest son, Elijah .. “Have you lost all of your teeth”  in which he answered after thinking for a minute  “No”.

So, she goes on to ask him … “Well, when did you start losing your teeth?” she yells to me in the front seat … “Mommy, when did Elijah start losing his teeth?”

I told her that Elijah began losing teeth when he was five, I said you don’t remember Micci and she answered and said “No, I was only 2”.

“Ding, Ding”  … that’s when I had a moment.

….. I always tell people what intrigues me is that in a relationship such as a marriage;

you have two separate lives now that you have to mesh together all the while still respecting their life individual calling and purpose.

I hope this is making sense.

It does in my head LOL.

But we are taking each individual life and now making it one.

I take my husbands attributes his gifts and talents .. his ultimate life purpose and not only am I pushing him, not only am I trying to push him to seek out what is it God has placed within him ..  and at the same time he does likewise with me.

Cool thing is, is that both of us can benefit from one another!

In the natural … he is a network engineer. His aspiration is to own his own company doing all that great “techy” stuff.

My aspiration is to open a transition center for women.

Ok, our two individual aspirations .. can become one when I finally open my center and he has his IT company and we come together and do business.

We have intertwined our aspirations.

So, I said all that to say …

That is kind of confirmed everything that I thought before.

Even in my children’s’ lives and the way I viewed them.

I realized that even though they are under the same roof  and share the same parents, they both have their own separate gifts, talents and purposes.

It was just an eye opener for me … to hear that she did not remember when her brother lost his teeth and even though they were under the same roof they were in different seasons and at different points in their life.

I love that  at any given point you can be in a crowd of  people and they are all in different seasons of their life.

Awesome thing is … God is tending to all of them, pruning some, watering some, inspecting fruit on some, and uprooting some.

That right there also reminds me and causes me to respect the seasons of others.

Just because I am in the season of harvest (just as an example) does not mean I pick on, beat up and judge the next who is still in a time of sowing.

We need to be sensitive of those around us and not so quick to “judge” someone.

We are called to be ready in and out of season to correct,  rebuke, and encourage with GREAT PATIENCE AND CAREFUL INSTRUCTION.

So while we do not have to be a “respecter of  persons” we do need to be a respecter of seasons and us what we have gained in past seasons to encourage and help someone make through theirs’.

Happy Blogging.

Fork in the Road ….

Fork in the Road

I think everyone comes to a point in their life where they have to decide whether or not to believe.

I see it almost as being like a fork in the road …

I don’t care if you have been in this walk for the last 25 years, everyone comes to a point where they have decide if they will continue in this journey in Christ or will I decide to throw away and forget (or at least try) all that God has done and showed me.

I believe that with every decision you bring yourself into a new season … with every revelation you bring yourself into a new “realm” of knowing of God as well as yourself. You have a new understanding of things and how you see them. Even though you may have to adapt … to this new level, you have to adapt to the new revelation, you have to adapt to the new awareness of the spirit of God that is at work in you, you have to adapt to the new you.

You have to adapt to the new level of belief.

I think you come to this “fork in the road” and its like God is trying to say to you … are you ready to go further? Are you ready to go deeper? Are you ready to take your belief and faith to another level?

… so I pray today that you are willing and ready to take your belief to a new place because honestly some people don’t … they get to the fork become disgruntled, disheveled and frustrated and decide to walk away from it all.

But then part of them is still tormented because they still believe and  just in that brief moment of doubt you walked away.

I pray that makes sense  …

but I pray you accept today, accept a new level of belief. I pray that we go forth in this year being fully convinced, convinced that God is real and he reigns, convinced of Gods word that it is alive and very much active, convinced that His word is alive and active in our lives and the lives of those around us.

God Bless.

A New Season …

So, I am feeling “some type of way” this evening.

I told my husband and he asked if I was sad, if I was hungry .. perhaps even thirsty. God Bless him.

But it is almost a sadness, honestly.

In the wake of the devastation of losing the precious lives of teachers and students in Newton, Connecticut … I as well found out a high school classmate committed suicide this past weekend.

But it makes me aware of how important it is for us as believers to be in place. The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few and there is a harvest out there waiting. Romans 8:20 says “the creature groans in anticipation for the sons of glory to be revealed.”

I believe that time is upon us when the son’s of glory is to be revealed Isaiah 60 says

“Arise and shine for your light has come  and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the people but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

I believe a darkness is over the earth and thick darkness is over the people and has blinded them from seeing any hope .. has blinded them from seeing any glimpse of light.

They have been blinded in the grips of despair, blinded by fear, blinded by loneliness, blinded by anxieties, blinded by depression, blinded by doubts of tomorrow. Some are blinded by the grips of death, blinded by grief, blinded by guilt, blinded by shame .. and held and subjected to its bondage.

They walk around in bondage, they roam to and fro looking for one to set them free. Looking for one to lend them a hand and not just simply place them at the gate called “Beautiful” but they are looking for one to tell them to get up and walk and be free.

They are looking for us to set them free from the chains and shackles that hold them in place and in subjection to its yet demanding laws.

We need to understand that we are the church .. not the building .. the building cannot declare the word of the true and living word. The call and demand was not placed on the building but within you and me.

It is time for us to go .. the great commission … to go forth making disciples of all men baptizing them in the name of Father, of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

We have already been equipped and anointed … we have already been given the authority.

It is time for the Son’s of Glory to be revealed.

In this next season it will be a dangerous thing for us not to be prophetic and not in the sense of carrying a title of a prophet … but it will be a dangerous thing for us not to recognize the voice and unctions of God .. and then to be able to carry out the instruction.

It will be a dangerous thing not to have a relationship … and I am saying this to those who are saved,  who have become new creatures yet have not truly tried to pursue a closer relationship with our creator. For those who are satisfied with Him being savior and not Lord.

He said He’s rather us be hot or cold .. .because then He knows exactly how to deal with us and supply us with the grace we need.

I do not know how to handle a person that I do not know whether or not your are for me or against me.

If I know you like me I can handle you accordingly … if I know you hate me … I can handle you accordingly but if I do not know where you stand then I do not know how to handle you.

We all know “wishy-washy” people we do not know where they stand with us from day to day.

Like wise with our God.

In this season … decide whether you will be hot or cold.

The harvest is plenty and it will be time for the laborers to go out in the field. We need to make sure our hands are planted firmly to the plow, for anyone who looks back is not fit.

The glory is coming and it will be upon His son’s and when the glory rises it will shine on those who are ready and in place.

I pray that you all be the light in the darkness and that  we are all ready when His glory rises. I pray that we all carry a “Here I am Lord” in our spirit and in our hearts .. at all times. I pray we know that the present sufferings are not worth comparing with glory that will be revealed. I pray that in this season our ears and eyes are opened .. so that we can hear the Lord is saying to His church. I pray that we receive it without hesitation and without hardness of heart. “when you hear my voice harden not your heart”.

I pray for a deeper sense of urgency, a deeper relationship, a deeper thirst and hunger for the things of God, a deep thirst for righteousness. I pray that son’s of glory be revealed quickly. That these people will know there is still hope even in the midst of the dark and dense fog of despair.

I pray for a weight to fall on the saints of God that we pray without ceasing .. that we will watch as well as pray. That we do not be caught off guard by the return of our Lord and Savior, by the return of our King for His people .. because He comes quickly.

Let us not get caught up in the things we can see. … for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.

Revelation 3:15-17

New International Version (NIV)

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Romans 8:18-24

New International Version (NIV)

Present Suffering and Future Glory

18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that[a] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

Isaiah 60

New International Version (NIV)

The Glory of Zion

60 “Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Matthew 9:35-38

New International Version (NIV)

The Workers Are Few

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Luke 9:62

New International Version (NIV)

62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

2 Corinthians 10:1-6

New International Version (NIV)

Paul’s Defense of His Ministry

10 By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you—I, Paul, who am “timid” when face to face with you, but “bold” toward you when away! I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
