A New Season …

So, I am feeling “some type of way” this evening.

I told my husband and he asked if I was sad, if I was hungry .. perhaps even thirsty. God Bless him.

But it is almost a sadness, honestly.

In the wake of the devastation of losing the precious lives of teachers and students in Newton, Connecticut … I as well found out a high school classmate committed suicide this past weekend.

But it makes me aware of how important it is for us as believers to be in place. The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few and there is a harvest out there waiting. Romans 8:20 says “the creature groans in anticipation for the sons of glory to be revealed.”

I believe that time is upon us when the son’s of glory is to be revealed Isaiah 60 says

“Arise and shine for your light has come  and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the people but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

I believe a darkness is over the earth and thick darkness is over the people and has blinded them from seeing any hope .. has blinded them from seeing any glimpse of light.

They have been blinded in the grips of despair, blinded by fear, blinded by loneliness, blinded by anxieties, blinded by depression, blinded by doubts of tomorrow. Some are blinded by the grips of death, blinded by grief, blinded by guilt, blinded by shame .. and held and subjected to its bondage.

They walk around in bondage, they roam to and fro looking for one to set them free. Looking for one to lend them a hand and not just simply place them at the gate called “Beautiful” but they are looking for one to tell them to get up and walk and be free.

They are looking for us to set them free from the chains and shackles that hold them in place and in subjection to its yet demanding laws.

We need to understand that we are the church .. not the building .. the building cannot declare the word of the true and living word. The call and demand was not placed on the building but within you and me.

It is time for us to go .. the great commission … to go forth making disciples of all men baptizing them in the name of Father, of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

We have already been equipped and anointed … we have already been given the authority.

It is time for the Son’s of Glory to be revealed.

In this next season it will be a dangerous thing for us not to be prophetic and not in the sense of carrying a title of a prophet … but it will be a dangerous thing for us not to recognize the voice and unctions of God .. and then to be able to carry out the instruction.

It will be a dangerous thing not to have a relationship … and I am saying this to those who are saved,  who have become new creatures yet have not truly tried to pursue a closer relationship with our creator. For those who are satisfied with Him being savior and not Lord.

He said He’s rather us be hot or cold .. .because then He knows exactly how to deal with us and supply us with the grace we need.

I do not know how to handle a person that I do not know whether or not your are for me or against me.

If I know you like me I can handle you accordingly … if I know you hate me … I can handle you accordingly but if I do not know where you stand then I do not know how to handle you.

We all know “wishy-washy” people we do not know where they stand with us from day to day.

Like wise with our God.

In this season … decide whether you will be hot or cold.

The harvest is plenty and it will be time for the laborers to go out in the field. We need to make sure our hands are planted firmly to the plow, for anyone who looks back is not fit.

The glory is coming and it will be upon His son’s and when the glory rises it will shine on those who are ready and in place.

I pray that you all be the light in the darkness and that  we are all ready when His glory rises. I pray that we all carry a “Here I am Lord” in our spirit and in our hearts .. at all times. I pray we know that the present sufferings are not worth comparing with glory that will be revealed. I pray that in this season our ears and eyes are opened .. so that we can hear the Lord is saying to His church. I pray that we receive it without hesitation and without hardness of heart. “when you hear my voice harden not your heart”.

I pray for a deeper sense of urgency, a deeper relationship, a deeper thirst and hunger for the things of God, a deep thirst for righteousness. I pray that son’s of glory be revealed quickly. That these people will know there is still hope even in the midst of the dark and dense fog of despair.

I pray for a weight to fall on the saints of God that we pray without ceasing .. that we will watch as well as pray. That we do not be caught off guard by the return of our Lord and Savior, by the return of our King for His people .. because He comes quickly.

Let us not get caught up in the things we can see. … for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.

Revelation 3:15-17

New International Version (NIV)

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Romans 8:18-24

New International Version (NIV)

Present Suffering and Future Glory

18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that[a] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

Isaiah 60

New International Version (NIV)

The Glory of Zion

60 “Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Matthew 9:35-38

New International Version (NIV)

The Workers Are Few

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Luke 9:62

New International Version (NIV)

62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

2 Corinthians 10:1-6

New International Version (NIV)

Paul’s Defense of His Ministry

10 By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you—I, Paul, who am “timid” when face to face with you, but “bold” toward you when away! I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

Long Time No Read ….

Hi Everyone.

I first have to say it feels good to be back on my blog! This has been a rather eventful two weeks. My family, on both my side and my husband’s side, went through and experienced the deaths of our grandparents.

I believe that through the grace and mercies of God that we are doing well and I have overcome. Although we naturally miss their presence we do not mourn as those who have no hope in Jesus Christ.

We have been given a sense peace that surpasses all of our understanding. God has truly answered my prayers because a few weeks ago when everything took place I honestly did know how I was going to make it through the next week following our grandparents deaths.

But here I am LOL.

Still alive and kicking and on the other side.

God most definitely is faithful.

So, I pray that everyone has had a wonderful weekend and holiday and I pray that your week as well be blessed.

Fight and Love a little harder today. Understand that the picture is always bigger than what we initially see.

Keep your hope and your faith in Christ Jesus. Don’t let anyone pull you out from the grace and mercies of God.

If you want something real, something durable, something that will last seek God  because only what is done through Christ will last.

Love you Guys

and

Happy Blogging

Enjoy Life

Okie dokie … I have received another great daily inspiration email!

I liked this one because he is simply soaking in and enjoying all of Gods wonderous creation and I too can see myself doing the same thing .. maybe not on a motorcycle! But I would like to just drive aimlessly state to state and enjoy the scenery and just enjoy and soak in life.

So Enjoy …….

Enjoy Life – It Has An Expiration Date

“God has made everything beautiful in its time. God has also set eternity in the hearts of humans; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”  Ecclesiastes 3:11

Doesn’t fun fly when you’re having time! There have been times in my life when I’ve had too much time on my hands but never a time when I had too much fun in my hands. My religion of life is to always be cheerful, and to enjoy the journey.

Some people find the dark cloud for every silver lining, and I admit I lived that way for awhile in my early 20s, but I found it to be useless, unnecessary, self-inflicted suffering. I thank God that I found God!

I will be home by the time you read this, but I beginning to write this Positive Daily Inspiration from a picnic area where I have stopped on a scenic road in beautiful Mississippi. I’ve been riding my new motorcycle, and I cannot get the smile off my face. I don’t believe that you could even surgically remove it. I love my life, and I am having a particularly good day.

After a $58 one-way flight from Houston to Jackson Mississippi, I picked up my new motorcycle in Brookhaven Mississippi. I have been shopping for the best price for over two years. Last year, I had the money saved, but the central air-conditioner  went out at my home, it was 105° in Houston that day, my office is located upstairs (closer to the sun) so this took top priority. I told the air conditioner installers that it may look like an air-conditioner, but it’s really my new motorcycle. I told them I was going to sit on the fan unit outside, and allow the wind blow through my hair, and pretend that I was on my new motorcycle. I did that once, but it was not the same.

I feel totally alive on a motorcycle, I guess because I’m closer to God’s beauty everywhere. So much is missed on a daily basis of the glory of God, unless one takes time to experience it. I mapped out every scenic road, and checked with Roadfood.com for the best restaurants. I have been on Weight Watchers since the end of June, and will soon continue after this brief interlude.

I went to The Dinner Bell Restaurant in McComb Mississippi. This is a cornucopia of everything good. You sit at a large round table with 16 other starving people. The center of the table is a massive lazy-susan that is constantly circling homemade delights of over 20 continuously filled dishes within easy grabbing, all you can eat, reach. It was a spiritual experience. The owners Andre and Ashley Davis said it was such a pleasure to serve someone was having such a good time.

The next morning the temperature had dropped drastically to 38°. But no problem, I had a heated suit that I plug-in to the electrical system on the motorcycle. It was toasty. I stopped to fill up the gas tank at a Shell station in Natchez Mississippi. A woman at the next pump commented to me, “Your smokin!”

All I could say was, “Thank you.” Recently, I had heard another woman refer to George Clooney that way.  I just thought, she was commenting about how good I looked on my new motorcycle. Then she got serious, and said, “NO really you are smoking!” Never has a man in the history of motorcycling taken his heated suit off  quicker. But, thank God, nothing was wrong. It was just a combination of heat versus cold in the morning dew.

After I stopped smoking, I went to the Rosedown Plantation to tour the gardens, and the Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana, followed by another road food delight, Mammy’s Cupboard.

I always pray for serendipity unexpected positive surprise. One of the positive surprises on my trip was during a stop off in Alexandria Louisiana, at the Silver Dollar Pawn and Jewelry Center. No, I did not stop at a pawn shop to raise money to go to another road food restaurant. It is the home of the History Channel’s new television series “Cajun Pawnbrokers.”

I was able to meet the entire family that the show was based on. Jimmie DeRamus, Jimmie, also known as “Big Daddy,” is joined on the show by his daughter Tammie and his younger brother Johnnie. They are wonderful people. The large pawn shop is like a museum, and I spent hours trying to see it all.

The 20,000-square-foot store houses more than 100,000 items, and is an attraction for school and tourist bus tours.

I traveled over 710 miles in all, every mile more aware of God. One of my favorite lines is from the Broadway play, “Mame.” Mame says, “Life is like a smorgasbord,  but most people are starving to death.”

Life is out there for the taking, if we will but take time for the fun that life offers us.

Ask God for serendipity in your own life today, and for fun, and for blessing.

It is everywhere, waiting for your call, and harvest.

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: I am more alive today than it was yesterday

and I will be more alive tomorrow than I am today.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: “There is no such thing in anyone’s life as an unimportant day.”     Alexander Wolcott

POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER: Dear God, I want to be more alive every day of my life. Help me to find adventure and excitement. Help me to find the humor in every situation. Help me to be uplifted so that I can uplift others.

 In Jesus Christ name Amen

God bless you make it a great day!

Hello world!

Hello World!

So this is my first time “blogging” and sadly I am having writers block … or would you call it bloggers block? I can say that my blog is not without purpose. I hope that with this some one will read this and be intrigued and inspired. Life is a journey and everyone’s life is an open book. A life of triumph and failures laughter and tears … all of which I intend to share (with discretion of course). The bible said that we overcome with the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. So, as I grow and go through life I plan to share with everyone in hopes that it will set someone else free …

So let’s go ….
