Help My Unbelief ..

You know,  I was reading a post the other day that stated that God creates a whole bunch of narcissists and He does this by telling us that He has a plan for us and that no matter what …. his plan will go forth and no matter what happens it doesn’t really matter because God is in control.

Understand, I am not bashing this woman because of her view, stance, opinion or belief … whatever you want to call it. I honestly am currently following her …. call me crazy.

I don’t know what lead me to follow her but I am … I am strong enough in my faith and belief to not be hysterical as some on her page .. strong enough to know I do not need to enter into a fit of rage and declare war on all atheist’s … I know my God and while I am His ambassador, I also know His word speaks for itself. It is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword dividing soul and spirit, joint and marrow … judging the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

I also strongly believe love covers a multitude … I don’t believe this child of God is as unbelieving as she deems herself to be …

I honestly don’t believe a lot of unbelievers  are as unbelieving as they say … some just deal with strong doubt …

they see, hear and read things they cannot wrap their minds around only to reduce it to a fable and story of inspiration and they internalize things that God did not make happen, unanswered prayers …. a deceased love one …

and they ask God “why have you forsaken me”

but they never understand He never did and when they go through moments when they don’t feel Him they figure He is not real …

but I beg to differ …

Even the strongest believer has moments when God seems afar off .. and it is often at the hardest times and periods in your life when He seems the furthest but we have to know that He is near .. that He dwells within .. that His word has been removed from the tablets and etched on our heart and dwells within us and that we have been given His very spirit and we can call those things that are not as though they were.

But unfortunately some did not have someone around to tell them and some came to that point I mentioned yesterday and outside things seemed more present than God at the moment.

… and that’s ok …

We serve a great God a loving merciful God and I pray all those who trying to find that balance between belief and unbelief find it.

That guy in the bible (that I cannot fully remember the story) where his son was dealing with a tormenting spirit and was causing him (the son) to hurt himself .. the father asked Jesus …

“Help, my unbelief”

I pray God helps all of our unbelief. I think it is safe to say that while we are fully convinced we do have those brief moments of unbelief …

I pray He empowers us all.

**So, this is not what I was blogging about and where this post was supposed to go, but ok**

… many are the plans in a mans heart but only the purpose of Lord prevails (paraphrased) … LOL

Fork in the Road ….

Fork in the Road

I think everyone comes to a point in their life where they have to decide whether or not to believe.

I see it almost as being like a fork in the road …

I don’t care if you have been in this walk for the last 25 years, everyone comes to a point where they have decide if they will continue in this journey in Christ or will I decide to throw away and forget (or at least try) all that God has done and showed me.

I believe that with every decision you bring yourself into a new season … with every revelation you bring yourself into a new “realm” of knowing of God as well as yourself. You have a new understanding of things and how you see them. Even though you may have to adapt … to this new level, you have to adapt to the new revelation, you have to adapt to the new awareness of the spirit of God that is at work in you, you have to adapt to the new you.

You have to adapt to the new level of belief.

I think you come to this “fork in the road” and its like God is trying to say to you … are you ready to go further? Are you ready to go deeper? Are you ready to take your belief and faith to another level?

… so I pray today that you are willing and ready to take your belief to a new place because honestly some people don’t … they get to the fork become disgruntled, disheveled and frustrated and decide to walk away from it all.

But then part of them is still tormented because they still believe and  just in that brief moment of doubt you walked away.

I pray that makes sense  …

but I pray you accept today, accept a new level of belief. I pray that we go forth in this year being fully convinced, convinced that God is real and he reigns, convinced of Gods word that it is alive and very much active, convinced that His word is alive and active in our lives and the lives of those around us.

God Bless.

What is it …

Praise the Lord and Good Morning Bloggers.

I just had a quick and random though this morning  and I thought I would blog about it.

Is there really anything that can pluck us from the hand of the Almighty God?

Is what we’re going through really greater than the power of God?

I mean so many times we see people begin with us in our walk we see people join in this walk of faith … only to see them fall off.

What is it that keeps some but yet some seem to drift?

Not saying this as if I have perfected my walk. I do not have moments where I want to throw in the towel and give up. I have things in my own life that seem to plague me … those thorns in my flesh.

But I am reminded that God’s grace is sufficient and in my weakness is His strength made perfect.

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that WILL BE revealed in us “Romans 8

The word tells us to cast our cares on Him for He cares for us ….

He cares about every little detail in our lives from the big to the small.

Let us not continue to lean on our own finite understanding of things. For we see in part and know in part but we serve a God who knows and sees all from beginning to end.

The enemy comes to sift us as wheat BUT Jesus told Simon

“But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail”

So let us, those who have been called out of darkness, stay encouraged,  contend earnestly for the faith and continue to press towards the prize which is in Christ Jesus and begin to keep our mind on those things that are pure and of good report.

Hebrews 10:25 (New International Version)

25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

God Bless …

Happy Resurrection Day!

Happy Resurrection Day!!

I am happy today because this is the one day that everyone celebrated the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the one day that people who normally do not go to church on a regular basis, find themselves in attendance.

I am happy as on my Facebook page I am reading as some of my friends have now accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.

I am just plain happy and I rejoice in the fact that when He went down He took all my sins, all my shame and all my insecurities, fears and doubts, hurts and pain with him.

And when He rose – I rose with Him.

So once again I just wanted to say Happy Resurrection Day ….

Let us celebrate His resurrection daily not just for one day out of the year but lets celebrate his life everyday.

Romans 6

Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ

1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

No Fear Over Here ….

Look you guys, I am so excited today! I am excited because first, the weather is gorgeous( a beautiful 79 degrees), the sun is out, I really think I lost some weight, I’m style’n and profile’n in the 5in. heels, hair is perfect, the kids and husband are happy, I’m SAVED … and lastly I am thrilled over the success of my blog.  I am so thrilled and over the top giddy about this blog that 1:30 could not come fast enough.

Style’n and Profile’n

My husband told me yesterday that, this is (amongst many other things) is what he has envisioned me doing (blogging that is) and great thing is that I totally agreed.

“If you dream with him, He won’t dream with another”
 Dr. Mike Murdock
(had to throw that quote in there)
Anyway, when I talked to a co-worker of mines today (whom I love dearly) we talked about just doing the things God has placed on our heart to do. One thing we talked about that keeps many people stuck is “Fear“.  Well, good news is – is that :
Christ took that to the cross and we have already overcome!
Many people pray for deliverance from a thing and then we get up and totally leave it up to God to work on … and while that is a wonderful thing we have to understand that the key is: we have to begin to act on that thing.
While some things are totally dependent on the perfect timing of God and we do need his hand to do the work for us, we can still call those things that are not as though they were and move and act in faith. So, if I have prayed to be delivered  from fear and to act in a Godly boldness and confidence then I need to walk in it. If I want for my blog to become successful and reach millions, then I am going to talk and act as though I have already reached my one million followers! You get me??
Hey, Jesus prayed in the garden ” … if this cup could pass from me …” … the He said “Nevertheless” and he got up and eventually proceeded on in what God called him to do. Some of us (me included) need a “Nevertheless” in our spirit and in our heart and minds. That I may see this .. and I might see that but “Nevertheless”. I may feel this and I may feel that but “Nevertheless“.
People of God ….. God has not given us the spirit of fear … but of  love, peace and a sound mind
We can no longer walk in timidness and doubt or fear .. worry … and whatever else may hinder you. We cannot let what we feel or see dictate how we go forth in life … if you are worried about what your past has been … let it go … it has been forgiven and forgotten … go forth and live. If you are afraid of what people may say or think… to heck with it … Jesus is Lord and I ain’t got to please you ♫cuz I’m FRESH♪  sorry, I am really feeling this broke out in song I’ll post the song for you all later.
But lets vow today and challenge ourselves that we will not live in fear. Stand up to whatever is holding you down … and let the world know you are NOT AFRAID!
