Prophetic Warfare

** Here is a teaching I as well as three other Men and Women of God had an oppurtunity to teach a few weeks ago on “Prophetic Warfare”. I honestly wish I had a cop of their teachings as well, they were all blessed and truly awesome. I was amazed at the different revelations we had all received in regard to prophetic warfare**

And once again a big THANK YOU to my Pastors Michael and Danielle Hathaway for the opportunity

and

a BIGGER THANK YOU to the Spirit of the LIVING GOD!!

We love you Lord and on today and everyday we celebrate you God and delight ourselves in your presence!

Ok Here you go …

Enjoy and Happy Blogging

**PROPHETIC WARFARE**

Everyone needs to have Gods living word active in our lives as the word tells us that we can not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

God’s words are creative and they form our lives. When He created the heavens and the earth … He spoke and then there was.

God’s words can come to us as

Instruction

Warning

Edification

Revelation

His word builds our faith and trust in Him, it gives us hope.

It also reveals to us His character, thoughts and ways.

Us being His children we have a right to be able to hear our father. Just as a natural father is concerned with every detail of life so is our heavenly father. His word tells us that sheep know their Sheppard’s voice and no other do they follow.

His word comes to bring life and shed light on dark areas.

Moments of enlightenment … when we have received fresh revelation from God and have been empowered and set free

With every prophetic word that goes forth there is almost always something that comes against that prophetic word.

*Prophecy is simply the testimony of Jesus Christ. Prophecy isn’t something only prophets do every believer can prophecy does not meant everyone is called to the ministry of a prophet but everyone has the ability.

Prophecy is as simply as quoting a scripture from the word over your life.*

Mark 4 14-20

14 The farmer sows the word. 15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them. 16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. 17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; 19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. 20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”

DEFINITION OF PROPHECY

  1. A message of divine truth revealing God’s will
  2. An inspired utterance of a prophet, viewed as a revelation of divine will
  3. A prediction of the future, made under divine inspiration

DEFINITION OF WARFARE

  1. The waging of war against an enemy; armed conflict
  2. A state of disharmony or conflict; strife
  3. Acts undertaken to destroy or undermine the strength of another (political warfare (kingdom vs. kingdom)

Mark 4 14-20

14 The farmer sows the word. 15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

The enemy’s job is to sift us as wheat, wear us out, to separate and detach us from God and His will for our lives to keep us stuck and doubting God, to keep us blind. He comes to steal, kill and destroy.

When we receive a word we need to make sure we have it written down and we meditating on that word we received along with the word of God (cushion it). Whether, it is a word received by a prophet, God rhema word during service, something spoken into your spirit, or whether you read it straight from the bible then you need to have written down and in so far embedded in your spirit the enemy can not take it away. We need to get it to the point that our thoughts and meditations begin to produce it in the natural that thing spoken begins to manifest itself. As a man think in his heart so is he.

It is not only the enemy we got to look out for and be aware of we got to be aware of our own tactics.

16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. 17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; 19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful

** As we can see from verses 16-19 **

We have to be ready to demolish all arguments (we have to be ready to cast down everything) and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

We have to take an active stand to the whiles of the enemy and of our own flesh.

We as believers have to simply believe and stand firm on the word and God’s promises to us.

We cannot allow the world and circumstances choke out word in our lives. We have to take in this word daily as this is a spiritual food. This is our strength and our hope. This is what builds our faith knowing that God has a plan for us and our lives.

Have faith in God knowing that He is faithful and the perfect work He has begun He will also complete… He is faithful and will do it.

We have to stand being fully convinced of His word and promises to us.

**Verse 20 reads**

20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”

Isaiah 55:11

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

When God releases His word into our lives it does not return to Him the same way He sent it out but when it is sent out and if it is cultivated properly then for us we reap the harvest.

So, in close we have to take serious hope in the fact that when God sends out His word it is going to do just what he sent it to do. But we have to make sure we are in position to receive that word.

That is what this fight is all about. It’s about what God has spoken since the beginning of time. It is what He has spoken over your life since you formed in the womb. Our battle is not again flesh and blood but over God’s will for your life.

If you do not know if the enemy can keep you from it then how will you know and walk in it. Make it your mission to know God’s will and purpose for life.

Hold on to it and protect it … fight for it.

If He said in His word that the fruit of womb is blessed then that’s what it is

If he said He will complete the perfect work He has begun in you then He will do just that.

If He has called you to be the lender and not the borrower then He will do just that.

I do not care if he gave you a word 5, 10, 20 years ago … if He gave you that word then trust and rely on that word until it comes to pass.

Some of us need to be more like Caleb who waited 45years for His word to come to pass.

Reblog : An Answer to the Zeal Problem

This is awesome and so true! Enjoy!

Harden not your heart …

I hope everyone is having a great afternoon so far! So far, I must say that I am … I dropped my kids off at their little spring break camp thingy … which I am truly excited about. During the week the will explore out state capitol, VCU, black history museums they even have a chance to go fishing.  I was laying in my bed contemplating just taking off the whole week and being a chaperone … I don’t care if they are needed or not. LOL either its volunteer or stalk their bus?!

As you can see, I decided to come on to work … where I can clear my mind, search my heart and think. I don’t know what it is about this place .. but I can come here and just think. I believe most of my revelations take place at work ..

Odd, I know right …?

So while I was sitting here, I was just talking to God and sharing with him that I really need to know some things.

I need for Him to show me what is really in my heart pertaining to some things. I asked Him to show me and then once it is revealed to show me what to do … it does no good to ask God for something, whether it be you asking for Him to show you, tell you, release to you .. (whatever you would find yourself asking for) and He does as you asked and you do nothing with it.

I have done this on more occasions than care to share LOL … but what I am famous for doing is asking God to show me things that could be hindering me from living that more abundant life. And once it is revealed …. I get defensive and say “Ooh No, that definitely is not it … that is not me”  LOL ” … that’s my flesh”.

Why do I ask for what I am not ready to receive .. do I really want to grow and mature in Christ?

Well, of course I do! It is just way easier to conform or stay the same than to do what it takes to evolve and grow.

Then what God placed on my heart was …

“When you hear my voice, harden not your heart” Psalms 95:8

Oh my, I was totally blown away. Like “Wow”.

How many times have we asked our Father some thing and we reject it … It says in the book of James  1:5 “If any of you who lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously without finding fault  and it will be given to you”

I am implore you that as you seek the face of God … that you pray that when you hear His voice, that you harden not your heart. Pray that the garden of your heart and spirit always be fertile and ready to receive.

Silver Lining ……

Omg …. Hi everyone! It has been a while since I have posted on my blog. I have been super busy these past few weeks … so when I have a chance for some down time …. I really have “down time”.

Which consists of hours of dosing and rolling from side to side on the sofa … which then moves on to the floor (until I realize me and the floor aren’t as compatible as we used to be) moving on from there to then sleeping for a few more hours in my bed. Until, I realize I have a husband and three kids that I totally forgot about!

Anywho, I am posting in regards to some things that have recently been unfolding in U.S news. I am not big on all the events taking place in our country or the world and I am not big on politics or anything of the sort. But one story in particular has gripped me.

Trayvon Martin.

While it is a sensitive case … I do not want to pull any race cards or offend anyone by no means am I racist or in favor of one race over another. But I do believe that each culture and race, creed, nationality etc should be enlightened and know about where they have come from.

Today, I finally mustered up the strength to listen to 911 calls with the young man screaming in the background. It burns my heart to hear that .. and to think that his mother and father had to listen to that and will more than likely have to re-live that and probably still does hear it quiet often.

It is saddening to me that this man is still free and that people are actually trying to …. defend … this man (Zimmerman).

Then to say that it was him crying out for help in that recording is disgusting to me. I could not imagine listen to my childs plead for help .. because someone is trying to take his life and then to have the one who took his life say it was him screaming. I find it disrespectful and disgusting that one would do that.

Then to supposedly chase him say that you were acting in self-defense and then hear this young man screaming for help and you did not stop wrestling him?

I tried to distance myself from this story … because I do not like to be so emotionally gripped by something that could possibly turn out so unfair. I hate injustice …

But honestly, I did try looking at this from both sides I tried to remain unbiased but it is hard.

We had Joe Morrissey come to our church community center for I guess a rally for Trayvon Martin … and he said something that made me think and it kind of stuck with me ….

“In cases like this we have to find a silver lining”

Honestly, it did not take long for me to find that silver lining and I know it has been brought up a million times before but I can see some good coming out of this case. In regards to that stand your ground law. Is there a possibility this case has and will shine some light on the flaws within this law?

I went on to MSNBC and watched another video that had about a man in Texas who was locked up for supposedly raping a college student some time back and she picked him out of a line up. Come to find out (long story short) the man who did it wasn’t even in the line up and he confessed years later. Unfortunately, the man who as wrongfully arrested and sentenced died while in prison BUT his name was cleared and set into place new regulations for doing line ups … and now his family is fighting to have it implemented throughout the U.S.

Then, I thought what does God think about this. You know how we begin praying “Oh God get him and make him pay” …. but then God put in my heart that it takes one sacrifice, to set others free. This one case can set millions free … this one injustice can create justice for all those to come. Just like with a man in Texas by the name of Tim Cole … his in-justice caused justice for millions of people facing death and time in jail …. just like God sending us His son …. the in justice done to him justified us and set us free from bondage and death of sin.

So, while we know an innocent life was lost and no it should not have happened. Lets look on with hope that this will really open the eyes of the people of this land … and that we create a movement and a law to prevent this from happening again.

RIP Trayvon Martin and Thank you Jesus … for being the leader of movement to reach and touch millions and thank you for you sacrifice to set me free.

More Random Rambling …

I am bored out of my mind. Have you ever felt as though you have outgrown your current job? Well that is me.

I have exactly  30 minutes left … I honestly cannot wait to get home to take care of my sick husband and get him back on the road to good health. I can’t wait to see my little comedians either. My children are the highlight of my day. They love the Lord and talk about Him all the time and sing of his glory! They make me think and challenge me to go deeper.

They are one of the many gifts God has given to me. They are the light of my life and I would do anything for them. I see them as empty vessels of innocence and purity. I have to be mindful of what I pour into them and who I also allow to pour into them. So, there is a small group that allow my children to be around. Because in my opinion, if you do not respect the way I raise my child then they have no reason to be around you. May sound rough and harsh but it is the truth. And honestly I feel if more parents took the same or similar view … a lot of children would not fall victim to most things that we now witness.

So I don’t think we should be slack when it comes to their upbringing. Not saying we have to put our children on balls and chains but we just have to be mindful of what we introduce them to, what we allow them to see, what we allow them to listen to, what we are teaching them whether it is spoken or not. What do they see us doing; That they could potentially go back and repeat and then we see them as young adults struggling with?

I want to be ever so careful in raising them. Not saying I get it right all the time … because I don’t. But I sure as heck try.

If you raise a child in the way they should go when they get old they will not depart (paraphrasing).

Sorry, more random rambling but I meant every word!
