The Righteousness of God

         God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

2 Corinthians 5:21

Declare over yourself this day

“I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus”

I believe we can all agree that Apostle Paul said it best “ I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do”.  Later in the passage he says “Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me”.

We all have the best intentions in mind but often times we find ourselves falling short of the very thing we sent up to God in prayer. We find ourselves forgetting what we told God we would not do in prayer. We often find ourselves calling out to Jesus for help.

What then happens is we find ourselves stepping back into the corner, counting ourselves unworthy of the call on our lives and unworthy to dwell in the presence of a Holy God.

We have deemed ourselves worthless.

But God wants you to know today ….. that YOU ARE the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. There is no sin to great or too big that could separate you from the love of Christ. He who had no sin became sin and through His death and resurrection has set us free and through His abundant love for us …. He has made us free. There is NO condemnation for those who are in Christ.

“And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more” … John 8:11

My Two Cents ….

One thing I have noticed (if I can share my two cents) … is how lethargic people are to prophecy. The word tells us not to despise prophecy another version says not treat prophecy with contempt. Even in the old testament people told the prophets to stop prophesying!
Most of us run to horoscopes and fortune tellers and palm-readers, taro cards and the like but never think to seek the Creator of all things for direction and to know what the future holds for them.
Prophecy wasn’t given to us to simply “tickle our fancy” but to set our lives in motion, to unlock things, to establish, to encourage, edify and comfort and to give direction. Prophecy helps you set focus, tells you what’s worth fighting for and what just isn’t worth it. Paul told Timothy to keep the prophecies made about him and to recall them so that he may fight the battle well.
Without a vision/prophetic vision people perish. It is important for us to know what God’s thoughts toward us are so we do not settle and conform to just anything an anyone. It is important to know what God wants to establish in our lives so that we don’t waste time with dead things. It is important that we know where God wants to take us so that we don’t wonder around the mountain for 40years!

I dare you all to seek out the word of the Lord for your lives.

p.s. Yes, He is a know it all

I’ll Show You …..

Faith and Deeds

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.”

It is easy for people to say “I have faith, I know He will do it”  and then they return home to their sofa to twiddle their thumbs and wait for the promise.

Well, while that is ok to some extent that you have faith to say that with or without you God can do what he wants…

God wants to see that we really believe we do this by showing Him our faith in Him by our deeds.

Faith without works is dead.

God promised you financial increase in this season?

Great!

Show Him you believe by your deeds …

Sit down and write out those expenses, see what you have coming in and going. Make yourself a wise steward over the little so when the increase comes you won’t be foolish in handling it.

He promised to make you the head and not the tail, then show Him now that you believe in His promise that He will complete that perfect work in you by walking in it.

Declare over yourself God’s greatness, don’t walk as a double-minded man but let your “yes” be a “yes” and your “no” be a “no”.

God loves deeds that are influenced by faith.

That not only says

“God I trust your going to do it”

but it also says

“God here is what I am going to do to show that you I know you are going to do what you said”

and He will most definitely honor it.

God says today, “He finds it pleasing, it is a sweet aroma to Him to see His children who believe and are inspired enough to act out the fulfilled ahead of time!”

 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”

Give God something to honor on today and show Him that you believe.

Faith and Deeds (scripture continued) …..

Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[d]? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”[e] and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.

25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Psalms 139 ….

 I have never read Psalms 139 in its entirety until last night. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever come across.  I had a really rough evening on yesterday, I’m not sure why I was not (and even still) I am not sure what had triggered my attitude LOL but Lord knows …. Literally the Lord knew I had one.

I took it God in prayer and I laid it at the feet of Jesus and even in prayer I begin to ask God that if I never grow into a “gift” if I never grow to the “fullness” He has called me to please do not take away our relationship. I pleaded with God, that no matter where I go in life do not let me forget.

I prayed and I told God do not perfect or cultivate another gift until my relationship is right and pleasing unto Him. Do not give me another word until my relationship is right with Him.

Relationship is most important, over the offices over the gifts and destinies and purposes. Relationship is more important than what God holds in His hand.

The bible tells us that many have called out “Lord, Lord”  and many prophesied in His name and drove out demons and performed miracles but were never known.

I told God, “I want to be known by you”.

So after I had finished, I hopped up and ran to my bible LOL …. I stumbled upon Psalms 139 and I read it and felt so much peace in my heart and spirit.

So, here I am sharing it with you all. I do not do this to boast as I normally do not like sharing things like this but I do this to encourage you and show you that God is concerned about His children and the affairs and going on’s with His children. He is faithful and just to reply and to confirm you in any situation.

 I also do this in hopes that this will excite you to seek the Lord and find out how He speaks to you, that in seeking Him you will find out what that good perfect and acceptable will is for your life and those around you.

Know that God is concerned and He does care for you.

Psalm 139

For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.

You have searched me, Lord,
    and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
    you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
    you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
    you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before,
    and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit?
    Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
    and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
    the night will shine like the day,
    for darkness is as light to you.

13 For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
    How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
    they would outnumber the grains of sand—
    when I awake, I am still with you.

19 If only you, God, would slay the wicked!
    Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
    your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord,
    and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
    I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.

Lift Up Your Staff …..

1.1.14

The Spirit of the Lord says,  I have delivered you because you cried out to me.

The Spirit of the Lord says, I have heard your cry

I delivered you from the hands of Pharaoh, I allowed you to walk around the mountain.

I protected, I covered, I fed you, I did not let your shoes wear thin.

As I told Moses,  Why do you cry? Stand, and lift up your staff.

Lift up your staff Moses.

I desire to establish in this season

I desire to establish my children

They that wait upon the Lord shall mount up with wings of eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not fain

I have given you authority, take up your staff.

Stand and See the Salvation of the Lord ….

Exodus 14:13
” Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still”

I see that the people of God are wondering, the people of God are worried saying “Will this be a year like past years. Will I go through and suffer as in years before, will I see the promises of God in this season.

Others are not looking forward to this new year, others have an expectation that this year will be like the others if not worse.

Where is your expectation, where is your hope my children?

The Lord says to you today, “Do not be afraid. Stand FIRM and you will see the deliverance of the Lord”

In this season, we will witness the salvation and deliverance of the Lord over his people.

Just as the Lord spoke to Moses as the Lord performed great miracles so will he do today. The Egyptians you see today you will see no more children of God.

God desires to reign in the lives of his children in this next hour. He desires to cleanse, He desires to heal and set free. As a mighty rushing wind He desires to blow the breath of life on every dead area of our lives.
Awaken you that sleeps. He desires to search out with the light of His word all dark areas of our lives.

He asked Moses why is it that you are crying out to me….lift your staff.

He tells us today to lift up your staff.

I have given you an authority to tread upon the head of the enemy. No longer shall we toil with the enemy

In this season we shall walk in boldness
In this season we shall walk in clarity
In this season we shall walk in full calling of that which God has called us to

We have in this season accessibility to his voice, to his presence
He says today to lift up your staff, Lift up your staff Moses and part the red Sea so that the children can go through on dry ground

He tells us to lift up our staff on today and go forth
for He is with us as He was with the children of Israel… a cloud by day and a pillar by night

Why do you fear beloved?

No longer shall you fear for this will be a year of manifestation and demonstration.

those prayers in private will be rewarded publicly, those promises will manifest. I seek to establish, I seek to raise up and sit down in this hour but you will be safe

Call unto me and I will hear

Call unto me and I will save

But not by any doing of your own but because I am God, I am your God that heals, I never sleep nor do I slumber but I am attentive to my children

I love my children and I long that you know my desires toward you
Fear not my love, fear not do not wonder if this will be your year, do not fear as years before

For if you stand firm you will see the salvation of the Lord your God

Know that I am alive and it is my Son who sits at my right hand
I have given your enemies unto you and they shall become your footstool in due time

But I require that you love, I will show my glory in you that others may see and know that I am the Lord, that I am God
That I am the same God of yesterday, today

This will be your season my child, just only stand still and see the salvation of the Lord your God

The Difference ….

I often find myself telling my children that they have to be held accountable for their own actions.  I often tell them that you cannot look at everyone and  allow what they are doing to determine your behavior and the actions you make. I tell them that they are held at a different standard than the other children. So, what they may see “Sally” get away with, they have to know things are different for them.

I had this same revelation earlier this week and I had the opportunity to actually apply that same principle to my life.  A lot of times in the body of Christ we often see others do and get away with certain things that we necessarily cannot get away with.

We often find ourselves asking God

“How come “Sally” can do this but I cannot?”

God’s response is simple

“To whom much is given, much is required” (KJV)

Its that simple. Keep in mind, that does not take away from anyone else and their purpose and destiny in Christ nor does it give you room to boast and degrade.

But it should show you and demonstrate the seriousness of your calling and what God has entrusted you with

….the latter part of Luke 12:48 says”

“and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” (NIV)

I have realized that sometimes there are things you must uphold within your walk, there are some things some must abstain from whether that be music, television, books or certain people and conversations. There is a level of holiness that must be sustained. The word tells us that we are driven away by our own lusts, and when that lust is conceived it brings forth sin and when that is finished it brings forth death.

Then to safe guard ourselves we put up barriers, we assign the spirit of God to every unattended door. We make sure that we do not fall into or entertain those “divers temptations”.

So, don’t feel bad when you cannot talk like you want to, or listen to the music that you want, or watch that show that a few months ago you absolutely loved and could not live with out …

… but everyone else can.

Understand, first and foremost….

YOU ARE NOT EVERYONE ELSE.

God has set you aside for a specific time and purpose. He says, we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that we should show forth the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Understand that there is some thing God wants to set you up for and entrust you with. We are the tabernacle and dwelling place for the spirit of the living God.

There should be a difference in the sons and daughters of God in this hour, for the creation waits in eager expectation for the Sons of God to be revealed.

Ask yourself….

Where is it that God wants to take me?

What is it that God is entrusting me with in this hour?

What is it God that I can let go of that would hinder me from pressing further into your presence?

Allow God in this hour to burn away all those dead things, all the sins that so easily beset and entangle us. Accept the levels and seasons, callings and destiny God is trying to launch us into.

God Bless and Happy Blogging

1 Peter 2

“9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;”

Ezekiel 40:20-23

20 Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads. 21 Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court. 22 Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priest before. 23 And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

Hebrews 12:1

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us”

Luke 12:47-48

47 “The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked”
