Random Thoughts ….

Morning … more like “Almost afternoon everyone hope your day has been going well”.  I feel like I should …. say “Morning” becasue it has totally dragged.

This is going to be a short post .. this is just a small self observation.

I had a wonderful weekend (I hope you did as well) and it fun I went out spent time with some friends and family on Saturday and then went to church and spent some time with my church fam! So it was great … not too much on my plate … free and easy going.

Now I get to Monday. I am tired and dispondent a tad bit slow and cranky. I was feeling “that type of way” .. which I realized you feel that way when you aren’t really sure what you feel and why you feel what you think that you are feeling! So … it went onto me feeling like I was seperated from God and I wasn’t called nor chosen and I no longer had a purpose for my life .. and all this other junk. So I logged onto my blog, all the while quickly spiraling out of control lol and … I’m reciting the few verses I know trying to build myself up.

I then read last Monday’s Post and I was like “Dang, I sounded this way last Monday”? Whats going on … why am I going into my week on “E” after I just came out of the glory we just entered into the presence of God … and if I remember correctly in the presence of the Lord this liberty and the fullness of joy and pleasures forever more and now I am walking around here questioning my identity and calling in Him?

Then it hit me …. I cannot solely rely on my feelings. Those things are just as wishy washy as they want to be “Sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you dont”.  My Pastors  always say “Never make a decision when you are tired” and that is so true I now try not to do much of anything when I am tired lol. So this morning and apparently last monday … I felt my way right on out of God’s hand … lo l … fortunately His word tells that NOTHING can ever pluck us from the love and hand of God not even my little feelings.

While there is nothing wrong with feelings and emotions we cannot let them totally control and dictate things within our life because they can ship wreck us. Just think about how life would be if we all just ran and did things based off of our emotions and feelings.

Truth is a lot of times we might not all feel called and or feel anointed or we feel as though we are a child of the most high … God’s word never promised we would always feel called, chosen, anointed and appointed (hey I thought it sounded good it rhymed) but we must KNOW through FAITH that WE ARE and that HE IS and WE ARE AND WILL BECOME JUST WHAT HE HAS SAID AND HAS PROMISED!!

Philippians 1:6

(New International Version)

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

So, with that wonderful God given revelation I do feel better … a lot better I am however still tired lol but I do know the remedy for that!

God Bless and Happy Monday

Never Alone

Good Morning … and Happy Monday!

It is the beginning of the work week and for real I don’t know whether to be happy about that or what lol … but I received this daily inspiration and it hit home for me because I was feeling  a bit distant from God this morning.  I got up this morning and told Jesus “Thank You”.

I prayed and then kind of beat myself up because it was a quick prayer I sent up for my family this morning and just that God’s will be done in the earth. I don’t know maybe it should have been longer a little more heart-felt (for those that tend to be a little harsh on yourself you know where I am coming from). So, I let tried my best not to have a “beat down fest” with myself.

Anyway, came in and this was in my inbox! I enjoyed it and it did pick me up a bit!

I you enjoy this as much as I did ….

God Bless ♥

Hope in Our Future

“Lord, I turn my hope to You. My God, I trust in You.” Psalms 25:1,2

Placing your hope in God IS the answer. The hope the world promises is fleeting and imperfect.

The hope God promises is unshakable and unending. It’s no wonder, then, that when we seek security from worldly sources, our hopes are often dashed. But God has no such record of failure.

Place your hope in God today. Often we are confused as to where to entrust our future.

Do we entrust our future to humankind, or to God? Often we seek solace exclusively from fallible human beings.

But placing our life and our heart in the trustworthy hands of our Creator always leads to hope in our future.

Today, as you take the next step in life’s journey consider these words from the psalmist:

“You are my hope; Oh Lord God, You are my confidence.” Psalms 71:5

Place your hope in the One you can truly trust.

“Finite disappointment comes with life but we must NEVER lose Infinite hope.” Martin Luther King

Rest assured God is in control, and God wants to use you in wonderful, unexpected ways.

God desires to lead you along the path of God’s choosing.

God is everywhere not far away! When we feel far away from God it has little to do with God and everything to do with us. When we begin each day in prayer, in praise, and in worship God seems very near.

Be comforted, knowing that God is with you.

Listen to the quiet voice of God.

Talk with God and seek God’s healing.

Thank God and praise God.

God is the giver of all good things.

In whatever condition you find yourself today happy or sad, victorious or vanquished, troubled or triumphant remember that God is near watching over you and bringing you true reason for real hope.

When you choose God as your guide, in trusting your life to God completely and without reservation, God will give you the strength to meet any challenge, the courage to face any trial, and the wisdom to live with true hope.

So trust God today and seek God’s guidance. When you do, you will receive the blessings promised to God’s children.

  Celebrate God’s presence today.

 Invest your hope in God.

POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: My hope in my future is great this moment, it is as big as my faith.

POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: “Real Life is your best Entertainment!”

I place my trust, I place my future in Your hands.

I trust You with my life.

I believe in my future because I believe in You.

I am growing hope inside of me that is not diminished by daily disappointment, but fortified spiritually.

We are partners in this walk towards my future.

I believe.

In Jesus Christ name

There are times when we feel like we have to know. Times when not knowing seems as if it might drive us to the edge of sanity. Times when questions burn so intensely that it seems that they might consume us.

After Jacob wrestled with a heavenly being all night he had to know his name (Gen 32). After Job lost everything he had to know why he was suffering (Job 3). After the Israelites were brought out of Egypt they had to know why God was apparently going to let them die (Exodus 14). We see it again and again throughout the Old Testament.

We might wonder if New Covenant believers would be able to overcome such moments. After all, we have the Holy Spirit, and He knows everything. There are even verses that we could use to back it up. Such as this…

Don’t Get Mad … Get Better

When your mate expresses their heart to you … although some words may not be so easy on the ears … listen with an open un-offended heart. Sometimes, the best way to find out who we are and what our strengths and weaknesses are, is to find out from the ones we share our bed and lives with. No, Love is not always sweet roses, fresh and in bloom … sometimes it is about growth and maturity. Before getting bent out of shape, take time to do self inventory .. there may very well be much truth to what they are saying. Don’t get mad … get better.

Enjoy Life

Okie dokie … I have received another great daily inspiration email!

I liked this one because he is simply soaking in and enjoying all of Gods wonderous creation and I too can see myself doing the same thing .. maybe not on a motorcycle! But I would like to just drive aimlessly state to state and enjoy the scenery and just enjoy and soak in life.

So Enjoy …….

Enjoy Life – It Has An Expiration Date

“God has made everything beautiful in its time. God has also set eternity in the hearts of humans; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”  Ecclesiastes 3:11

Doesn’t fun fly when you’re having time! There have been times in my life when I’ve had too much time on my hands but never a time when I had too much fun in my hands. My religion of life is to always be cheerful, and to enjoy the journey.

Some people find the dark cloud for every silver lining, and I admit I lived that way for awhile in my early 20s, but I found it to be useless, unnecessary, self-inflicted suffering. I thank God that I found God!

I will be home by the time you read this, but I beginning to write this Positive Daily Inspiration from a picnic area where I have stopped on a scenic road in beautiful Mississippi. I’ve been riding my new motorcycle, and I cannot get the smile off my face. I don’t believe that you could even surgically remove it. I love my life, and I am having a particularly good day.

After a $58 one-way flight from Houston to Jackson Mississippi, I picked up my new motorcycle in Brookhaven Mississippi. I have been shopping for the best price for over two years. Last year, I had the money saved, but the central air-conditioner  went out at my home, it was 105° in Houston that day, my office is located upstairs (closer to the sun) so this took top priority. I told the air conditioner installers that it may look like an air-conditioner, but it’s really my new motorcycle. I told them I was going to sit on the fan unit outside, and allow the wind blow through my hair, and pretend that I was on my new motorcycle. I did that once, but it was not the same.

I feel totally alive on a motorcycle, I guess because I’m closer to God’s beauty everywhere. So much is missed on a daily basis of the glory of God, unless one takes time to experience it. I mapped out every scenic road, and checked with for the best restaurants. I have been on Weight Watchers since the end of June, and will soon continue after this brief interlude.

I went to The Dinner Bell Restaurant in McComb Mississippi. This is a cornucopia of everything good. You sit at a large round table with 16 other starving people. The center of the table is a massive lazy-susan that is constantly circling homemade delights of over 20 continuously filled dishes within easy grabbing, all you can eat, reach. It was a spiritual experience. The owners Andre and Ashley Davis said it was such a pleasure to serve someone was having such a good time.

The next morning the temperature had dropped drastically to 38°. But no problem, I had a heated suit that I plug-in to the electrical system on the motorcycle. It was toasty. I stopped to fill up the gas tank at a Shell station in Natchez Mississippi. A woman at the next pump commented to me, “Your smokin!”

All I could say was, “Thank you.” Recently, I had heard another woman refer to George Clooney that way.  I just thought, she was commenting about how good I looked on my new motorcycle. Then she got serious, and said, “NO really you are smoking!” Never has a man in the history of motorcycling taken his heated suit off  quicker. But, thank God, nothing was wrong. It was just a combination of heat versus cold in the morning dew.

After I stopped smoking, I went to the Rosedown Plantation to tour the gardens, and the Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana, followed by another road food delight, Mammy’s Cupboard.

I always pray for serendipity unexpected positive surprise. One of the positive surprises on my trip was during a stop off in Alexandria Louisiana, at the Silver Dollar Pawn and Jewelry Center. No, I did not stop at a pawn shop to raise money to go to another road food restaurant. It is the home of the History Channel’s new television series “Cajun Pawnbrokers.”

I was able to meet the entire family that the show was based on. Jimmie DeRamus, Jimmie, also known as “Big Daddy,” is joined on the show by his daughter Tammie and his younger brother Johnnie. They are wonderful people. The large pawn shop is like a museum, and I spent hours trying to see it all.

The 20,000-square-foot store houses more than 100,000 items, and is an attraction for school and tourist bus tours.

I traveled over 710 miles in all, every mile more aware of God. One of my favorite lines is from the Broadway play, “Mame.” Mame says, “Life is like a smorgasbord,  but most people are starving to death.”

Life is out there for the taking, if we will but take time for the fun that life offers us.

Ask God for serendipity in your own life today, and for fun, and for blessing.

It is everywhere, waiting for your call, and harvest.

“What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ”Philippians 3:7
